You can delete your Pitara account and all of the data in it at any time, from inside the app or from this page. You do not need to contact us first.
You are signed out on every device immediately. There is nothing else to do: the erasure below happens on its own.
If you no longer have Pitara installed, email privacy@pitara.ai from the address you signed up with, asking us to delete your account. We action these requests within 30 days and confirm by reply.
Everything below is erased permanently 30 days after you confirm, across our databases and file storage:
| Data | What it covers |
|---|---|
| Notes and documents | All note content, folders, and their revision state |
| Transcripts | Every transcript, speaker label and summary |
| Recordings | Any audio stored in your account, including uploaded files |
| Memory | Every extracted memory, embedding and index built from your content |
| Account and profile | Name, email address, profile picture, timezone and settings |
| Connected accounts | Google and Microsoft calendar tokens, revoked at the moment you confirm |
| Sharing | Links you created, and memory you shared with or received from others |
| Devices | All sign-in sessions and device records |
Recordings you chose to keep on your phone only were never uploaded to us, so there is nothing for us to delete. Removing the app removes them.
Access ends immediately. The moment you confirm, every session and device is signed out and you cannot sign back in.
Erasure happens after 30 days. The delay exists only so that a deletion made by mistake, or by somebody else with access to your device, can be undone. To cancel, sign in at pitara.ai before the date in your confirmation email and choose "Keep my account". After that date the data is gone and cannot be recovered, by you or by us.
Data in encrypted backups ages out of those backups within 30 days of erasure. Backups are never used to restore a deleted account.
